ARC Builds KC is committed to making https://arcbuildskc.com useful and accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we welcome feedback when a visitor encounters a barrier.
1 Accessibility Goal
ARC is working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 Level AA as a practical design and testing goal. This statement describes our commitment and ongoing work; it is not a claim that every page, feature, document, or third-party component currently conforms to every WCAG success criterion.
2 Ongoing Work
Our accessibility work includes reviewing and improving:
- Heading structure, page titles, link text, and content organization.
- Keyboard navigation, visible focus, skip links, menus, dialogs, and interactive controls.
- Color contrast, text resizing, responsive layouts, and information conveyed by color.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and captions or transcripts for important video and audio content.
- Form labels, instructions, error messages, consent controls, and confirmation messages.
- Compatibility with common browsers, mobile devices, screen readers, and other assistive technologies.
Automated scanning can identify some problems, but it cannot establish complete accessibility. ARC intends to combine automated checks with keyboard review, screen-reader testing, and human feedback as the site is developed and updated.
3 Third Party Content
Some features may be supplied by third parties, including scheduling, chat, maps, reviews, video, forms, or social-media content. ARC may not control every aspect of those services, but we will work to choose accessible options and provide a reasonable alternative when practicable.
4 Assistance and Feedback
If you have difficulty accessing information, completing a form, scheduling an estimate, or using another website feature, contact us. We will work with you to provide the information or service through a reasonable alternative method.
When contacting us, it is helpful to include:
- The webpage or feature involved.
- A brief description of the difficulty.
- The browser, device, or assistive technology used, if you are comfortable sharing it.
- The best way for us to respond.
